1) What are you most looking forward to next semester?
2) What advice do you have for incoming Freshmen next Fall?
Next semester I am looking for the month break and just knowing after the next semester summers coming. I am really not looking forward to anything besides new classes also getting another semester done and out of the way. For the freshmen next fall don't give up even if you think this may not be you, just let you adapt because thats what happened to me. I actually like college :). Don't do drugs or break windows with butts, ahaha.

1) What are you most stressed-out with at the moment? Why? Is your body re-acting to this stress? Devise a plan to deal with it. (Who do you turn to when you are stressed?)
What I most stressed-out about at this moment is money. I have so many bills and its overwhelming with school. Well everyone hast to pay bills but it seems like they keep piling up. My body is re-acting to every kind of stress possible. I feel always tired and down on myself, but I'll get myself out of this. The reason I'm tired is because I am at NMU from 8 am to 5 sometimes 6 pm. Well I really can't devise a plan to help me out since there will always be bills I have to pay. October was not my month I have to pay $250 to my friend since my little butt broke their window so I was not able to pay my cell phone bill so now I am going to have a late charge, charged to my next Alltel bill. When I get stressed out, I drink. Its a bad habit but a lot of people do that. My plan will be not to drink while being stressed out and just eat ice cream, :).

Blog #4
Write Blog #4 on your own page, answering the following: What do you have in common (academically, personally, etc..) with the classmate whose Blog you chose? Did s/he offer any useful information you will most likely use in the future?
Stuff I have in common with Amanda G is that we'd rather hang out with friends than study, but who wouldn't. Shes really enjoys listening and playing music and I listen to music with almost everything I do besides study, since I'd rather sing. We also went to the same highschool (Marquette Senior High School) also same middle school (Bothwell). Amanda and I graudated MSHS with high achievement. We both are going into the medical field and our majors are the same right now (Pre-med). Shes easy to talk to about things and is a good listener, which reminds me of myself. Another thing Amanda and I have in common is we don't like public speaking or speaking infront of the class. Well I was reading one of the blogs I didn't post a comment on and she was talking about the different organelles and that cytoplasm is the jelly substance. I'll remember this now since its not in all scientific terms. Amanda also helps me out in algebra when I don't understand a concept. Some advice that I probadly will do that she said would be to answer the questions at the end of the chapters. Also shes just has great advice on life in general. :)

What do you feel this course (UN100) should focus on? What do you need help in, specifically?
This class can be very helpful but this class should focus on studying chemisty and anatomy instead of Thriving for College and Fast Food Nation, but I do like the book Been there Done That :). Like maybe one hour of the class period can be fore studying and helping each other out to learn the material. Then for the other half just learning the stuff you like to teach for UN100. I need help in both anatomy and chemistry since I really want to learn the stuff and get a great GPA so I will be excepted in to MGH school of radiology. I wanna learn both those subjects and be outstanding in both of them, so I can be a great Radiographer. I do like the class since it seems more relax then my other classes and you really want to get to know us. Kelly you remind me of the teacher off of Freedom Writers :), I love that movie.

My ideal professor would be someone you help me understand the mateiral and actually cared if I passed the class. Also the professor would have to be someone I could go to and trust. Basically they would just have to care and be my friend. Usually when I blank out during a test its because I thought I could get away with studying and hour before. To prevent this senario I would study a little bit each day after the professor went over the matieral in class so I stayed caught up. I study from reading the textbook, looking over notes and key points said in lecutres, pictures, and flashcards are the most effective. I have trouble on quizzes/test since my vocabulary isn't that awesome and when I read a word that I don't understand or know, I tend to get anxiety. Well if you consider subway a fast food, I would consider that a healthy fast food place because it serves subs that are less than 6 grams of fat. Subway also lets you watch them make your food so you know whats on it and how its made. Other than that any burger joint I would consider unhealthy or any food that was cook/served in under three minutes unhealthy. For instance, I work at McDonalds and even the salads are soak in sugar water before manufactored. The fries take 3 minutes to cook in oil/grease. Im pretty sure a lot of reasurants like McDonalds do the same thing to cook food and a speady time. Ever fast food is unhealthy since its cook in oil/grease. McDonalds meat is red meat, angus meat, fish, and also my favorite the chicken/nuggets which stays frozen until needed. My friend who works on the grill said "they sound hollow when placed on the grill." Everyone knows its unhealthy and probadly going to increase your blood pressure make us fat but almost every American loves it. A lady came and order a chesseburger after work and said that this was her comfort food. Some people eat icecream and chocolate as other pefer fast food.

My favorite saying would be "laughing makes you live longer," which a friend of mine told me, Herbert E.. Right now I am in Northerns libary by the window in the inclosed box with a guy behind me. Its very cold in the libary and quiet at the moment. All I can hear is me typing and they guy behind me moving around. Northern is fine its not what i thought college was about though, its more calm then I expected but I overexaggerate. Everyone seems more comfortable with themselves here instead of highschool, which is a plus. In my classes no one really talks they just take their notes, listen, and leave. Some students are spunkier than other and pump up compared to other who dread waking up in the morning. All the students have one thing in common their here to learn since its their free time and choosed to go. Well my a few of my instructors talk quiet which makes it hard for me to hear so I tend to start daydreaming. For the most part of my instructors I like all of them. My biggest challege this semseter would probably be Human Anatomy, Froilands class. Its one of my biggest class so their really no one-on-one learning. A new term I learned so far in Human Anatomy would be pseudostratifed, which means falsey layered. Pseudostratifed is lines are bladder its the only tissue that can change from stratifed squamous, cuboial, or columnar. I've had a few pleasant events happen so far my first week of College, well I have all my class with Shaun which helps me out so if I need to ask someone for help shes more easier to talk to then students I don't know. Another pleasant event was that I found all my classes and wasen't even late. Some habitats I already possess are taking down information in my planner for when assignments are due. Also that Im determined to get the task done in time and to study using flashcards. Habitats that I need to lose is staying up till 2 in the morning since I did it all summer and getting to stressed about little things that will be fixed. For instance, my email got blocked and i didn't know where any of my classes were til the first day. That made me freak out but everything worked out. I don't really determine to right down certain things, I basically write everything they go over in class. Im suprised that my hand doesn't hurt yet. Active learning is processing information more affective to visual learning, flashcards instead of passive learning which is more like lectures and taking notes. Active learning gets you more involved in learning. "Stay out of bed," stated by Rollins College. This stuck out to me since I rather sleep than study, and I could see myself sleeping lots since of stress. Another quote that made an impact was "Even if I'd partied all night, I dragged my body to class. Other people's notes don't work . . . you have to hear it yourself," advice from Graduate, English, Indiana University. I like to have fun and this just stuck out since I could see myself sleeping in when I have lectures at 8 a.m., very bad. One goal for next week is to do fantastic on my Algebra quiz than last week score.
